Well, still no word from any of my auditions. *sigh* Am I really just not as good as I think I am? I mean - I know I'm not terrible...But maybe my expectations for myself and my skills are a little too high...
I auditioned for 5 different things and they all said they'd contact me on the 30th. Still no word. But I think I could probably understand - seeing as for some it's a holiday week. (4th of July.)
But still, I'm really disappointed and I hope to hear from some of them soon...
Convincing yourself you're "good" is always going to restrict you, in any field of work. Do not proudly sit on your strengths, instead constantly keep an eye on your flaws. Not to dwell on them, but to never stop trying to improve on them. Humble yourself and stay modest, and you'll find success :)
Thanks. ^^ I suppose I should apply my same thoughts to my art as I do with my voice work.
It's just that I was actually OFFERED by these people to audition for them. So it made it all the more special that I get these parts.

Either way, more opportunities will always come and go in life and it's simply not possible to seize each one. Just do the best that you can and don't measure your success in the how many important people you've impressed. :)

I've actually been working on a demo reel. However, my microphone's little program deal doesn't make .mp3 files. I'd have to upload it to YouTube then download it with my media converter and turn it into an .mp3. I'm waiting for something simpler before I do that. I sent them all samples of their lines, too.
